Beck is a nationally recognized conservative political commentator. He is currently the host of The Glenn Beck Program on The Blaze.

In 2013, Beck implied that Rep. Michele Bachmann’s (R-Minn.) failed run for President was under investigation because, “We have been sold to radical Islam.” Bachmann had previously led a campaign falsely alleging that many Muslims in public service were operatives of the Muslim Brotherhood. This allegation was rebuked by senior members of her own party.

In February, 2011, Beck hosted anti-Muslim speaker Joel Richardson on his Fox News program and the two “tied Islam to the Antichrist in the New Testament.”

On his August 10, 2006 radio show, distributed by Clear Channel’s Premiere Radio Networks, Beck told listeners, “The world is on the brink of World War III,” then issued this warning: “All you Muslims who have sat on your frickin’ hands the whole time and have not been marching in the streets and have not been saying, ‘Hey, you know what? There are good Muslims and bad Muslims. We need to be the first ones in the recruitment office lining up to shoot the bad Muslims in the head.’ I’m telling you, with God as my witness… human beings are not strong enough, unfortunately, to restrain themselves from putting up razor wire and putting you on one side of it.”

On the November 14, 2006 edition of his CNN Headline News program, Beck interviewed then Rep.-elect Keith Ellison (D-Minn.), who became the first Muslim ever elected to Congress and asked Ellison if he could “have five minutes here where we’re just politically incorrect and I play the cards up on the table.” After Ellison agreed, Beck said: “I have been nervous about this interview with you, because what I feel like saying is, ‘Sir, prove to me that you are not working with our enemies.’ “Beck added: “I’m not accusing you of being an enemy, but that’s the way I feel, and I think a lot of Americans will feel that way.”

Beck has also been known to use his radio and television shows as a platform for even more virulent Islamophobes, such as Frank Gaffney.
