Dobbs: Not so smart when it comes to the Middle EastBy Lou Dobbs CNN

Editor's note: Lou Dobbs' commentary appears every Wednesday on CNN.com. NEW YORK (CNN) -- We Americans like to think we're a pretty smart people, even when evidence to the contrary is overwhelming. And nowhere is that evidence more overwhelming than in the Middle East. History in the Middle East is everything, and we Americans seem to learn nothing from it. President Harry Truman took about 20 minutes to recognize the state of Israel when it declared independence in 1948. Since then, more than 58 years of war, terrorism and blood-letting have led to the events of the past week.
Even now, as Katyusha rockets rain down on northern Israel and Israeli fighter jets blast Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon, we simultaneously decry radical Islamist terrorism and Israel's lack of restraint in defending itself.

The philosophy of Jewish Zionism is based on Talmud’s hatred toward non-Jewish people (Gentile). Both Jewish and Christian Zionist – for their own evil ends – got together to create a Zionist entity in Palestine – by expelling the real Semite Arabs.
This is the hatred against Arabs and Muslims, which has provided a ‘religious/cultural’ bond between the Judeo-Christian West with Zionists who are occupying Arab lands now. This hatred has never stopped. The latest incident happened in the conference which took place yesterday against the establishment of a mixed Arab-Jewish school in Pat, Jerusalem saw harsh attacks made by well-known rabbis.

Never has an imminent war been so loudly and publicly advertised as Israel's forthcoming military attack against Iran. When the Israeli Military Chief of Staff, Daniel Halutz, was asked how far Israel was ready to go to stop Iran's nuclear energy program, he said "Two thousand kilometers" the distance of an air assault.
More specifically Israeli military sources reveal that Israel's current and probably next Prime Minister Ariel Sharon ordered Israel's armed forces to prepare for air strikes on uranium enrichment sites in Iran According to the London Times the order to prepare for attack went through the Israeli defense ministry to the Chief of Staff. During the first week in December, "sources inside the special forces command confirmed that 'G' readiness the highest state for an operation was announced" (Times, December 11, 2005).

 | | Christian broadcaster Pat Robertson | (AP) NORFOLK, Va. Christian broadcaster Pat Robertson on his television program Thursday linked Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's stroke to God's "enmity against those who 'divide my land.' "
"He was dividing God's land and I would say woe unto any prime minister of Israel who takes a similar course to appease the EU (European Nation), the United Nations, or the United States of America," Robertson said on "The 700 Club," broadcast from his Christian Broadcasting Network in Virginia Beach. "God says 'this land belongs to me. You better leave it alone.' "
Robertson said that he had personally prayed about a year ago with Sharon, whom he called "a very tender-hearted man and a good friend." He said he was sad to see Sharon in this condition.

By Nizar Sakhnini Israeli plans for expansion during the Suez Canal War of 1956 were dashed as a result of the adamant stand by U.S. President Eisenhower. The Zionist leadership, however, did not abandon their greed for more Arab lands and had to wait for a more accommodating American President. The new opportunity was provided in 1967. Israel made threats against Syria following a border incident in April 1967 during which 6 Syrian MIGs were shot down. On 12 May, Israel threatened reprisals against Syrians if they continued to support Fatah attacks on Israel. These attacks were no more than insignificant border harassment, which did not pose any threat to Israel and could have been dealt with through the Mixed Armistice Commission. In order to be able to support Syria in case of an Israeli aggression, Gamal Abdul Nasser moved Egyptian troops into the Sinai on 14 May and subsequently requested withdrawal of the UNEF from Sinai, Gaza and Sharm-el-Sheik. UNEF withdrew on 18 May and Egyptian troops moved in and the Straits of Tiran were closed to Israeli shipping on 23 May.

Zionism Is Nobody's Friend " I have chiefly had men's views confided to me privately. Some of the biggest men in the U.S., in the field of commerce and manufacturing, are afraid of something. They know that there is a power somewhere so organized, so subtle, so watchful, so interlocked, so complete, so pervasive, that they had better not speak above their breath when they speak in condemnation of it." The New Freedom. Woodrow Wilson, 1913
What was this power to which Wilson referred? Why was it talked about in hushed tones and behind closed doors?
Our public has been and continues to be duped. It is a process which begins early and is unrelenting. It begins in homes and schools. It begins on the radio and television. It begins in the print media. And, ultimately, a Pavlovian reaction occurs; man is no longer a critical thinker. Man has become a machine. I know the process all too well; I was a part of it for more years than I care to admit. And now that I am able to see beyond the curtain, even if only partially, I want nothing more then to alert people to the game that is being played at their expense.
